LENDING LIBRARY

Borrowing books, Bulletins, videocassettes, DVDs, and microfilm

PRINT MATERIAL

1. Please use Lending Library forms. Forms can be found on the back of the mailing sheet sent with each Bulletin. If no form is available, requests will be accepted on plain paper. Please list items wanted, and print your name, member number and address.

2. Correct postage (U.S. funds, check or money order), as indicated on the lending form, must be included.

3. Three items may be borrowed at a time. A videocassette, DVD, or microfilm reel is considered one item when borrowed with books or Bulletins. Any combination of videocassettes, DVDs, microfilms reels, books or Bulletins may be listed on the same form.

4. An * after the author's name indicates an insurance fee must be paid, in addition to the postage costs.

IF INCLUDE VALUES COVERED
** $3.00 50.01 - 100.00
*** $4.00 100.01 - 200.00
**** $5.00 200.01 - 300.00
***** $6.00 300.01 - 400.00

******* $8.00 500.01 - 600.00

5. All Lending Library items now circulate for a 45-day loan period and are due back on or before the due date indicated on the white paper band placed over them. Note: renewals of borrowed items may be obtained by contacting the Library prior to their due dates unless, of course, your items are needed by other members. .

6. When one of the items you request is in use, you will be placed on the waiting list for that item and notified of this. At times, even with multiple copies of a title, the wait can be several months long. Please be patient. The item will be sent to you as soon as it is received and your name is first on the waiting list.

7. If you do not received your requested items or notice of them within four weeks of submitting the request, please contact the library.

INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS

International members may use the Lending Library by agreeing to pay airmail postage in both directions for items borrowed. Because of the time involved in overseas loans we reserve the right not to loan books for which there is a waiting list. Books that must be insured cannot be loaned unless the international member agrees to assume full responsibility for them during the sending and returning of the items. VHS videocassettes are available for loan but these may not be compatible with non-U.S. video players.

CANADIAN MEMBERS

Sending books to Canada costs approximately twice as much as within the United States, as they are shipped airmail; therefore, shipping charges for Canadian members are double the amount that United States members must pay. Books that must be insured cannot be loaned unless the Canadian member agrees to assume full responsibility for them during the sending and returning of the items.

Videocassettes/DVDs/Microfilm

1. A total of three VCRs/DVDs/microfilm reels may be borrowed.

2. Postage for the items as indicated on the lending form must be included.

3. DVDs, microfilm, and VCRs circulate for a 45-day loan period and are due back on or before the due date indicated on the white band placed over one of the videocassettes or DVDs.

4. A complete list of all videocassettes and DVDs are included periodically in the MART; and this same listing, complete with summaries, can also be found at the NAWCC Web site Library & Research Center link---www.nawcc.org.
